We are seeking a Geologist to join the Land & Mineral Resources team in Scotland. The location is flexible and a degree of travel will be expected.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional Geology Manager, you will be responsible for providing geological support and advice to our aggregates business.

Ensuring compliance with the Quarries Regulations 1999 will form a key part of your role, using 3d modelling to prepare earthworks designs and quarry development plans that drive safe and efficient mineral extraction.

You will help to develop the company’s mineral replenishment strategy from desk-based strategic searches through to the design, costing and management of site investigation projects and mineral resource assessments in accordance with the company reporting code.

You thrive in fast-paced environments, where the ability to think quickly on your feet and make timely decisions is crucial. Whether you're collaborating with internal & external stakeholders or working independently, you maintain a positive attitude and a high level of professionalism under pressure.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

You possess an Honours degree in Geology or a Geology-related subject and be working towards Chartered Geologist status. You are computer literate with working knowledge of MS Office and an aptitude for learning new software packages.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Earth Science graduate or early career Geologist looking to travel and develop knowledge of the extractive industry.
