What does a Marketing Placement Student actually do?

You will work alongside the regional, partner and performance marketing teams to devise and execute on marketing plans that make a real business impact to the wider GTM (go-to-market) organisation. You will get exposure to different aspects of marketing: from content creation, social media advocacy, and digital marketing to sales alignment, event organisation, and more.

What does that mean day to day?

  • Support with the setup, execution and follow up on key first and third party events
  • Work closely with Regional Marketing Managers across Northern Europe, DACH and France to understand sales’ teams challenges and help translate them into effective marketing campaigns
  • Support Partner Marketing team with executing joint campaigns with some of our key partners
  • Support with the setup and execution of our digital media activities, including coordinating ad creation, setting up correct tracking and reporting to the EMEA team on the success of these tactics
  • Drive the EMEA social advocacy program: set up and review content in our advocacy tool, attend quarterly calls with our success managers and communicate the importance of the program to the wider sales teams.
  • Coordinate landing page builds, email marketing campaigns and webinar production, working closely with the Marketing Operations team.
  • Become the team go-to person to support for administrative tasks, creative brainstorms and other - every day is different!

Who you are

  • To be eligible you must be an undergraduate student in a placement year course returning to study Autumn 2026, you also will need to have the right to work in UK already in place.
  • Language skills: for this role, we are ideally looking for someone with German and/or French (in addition to English)
  • Communication: you are known for building strong relationships in and outside of your core studies.
  • Drive: demonstrates a level of resilience to overcome objections and have a “can do” attitude to delivering personal goals.
  • Creativity: have the ability to think outside of the box and present fresh ideas.
  • Attention to detail: everybody makes mistakes, even the most detail oriented employee. You will be detail oriented by nature, able to fail fast and prioritise effectively ensuring quality on sometimes tight deadlines.
  • If you are studying something Marketing related it would be a plus, however from experience you don’t need a specific degree background to be successful as a placement student in box.
