Job description

In search of an enthusiastic intern to join the UK Stationary Fuel Cell (SOFC) and Electrolyser team. With the team being recently established, expectations are that you would support a wide variety of activities to facilitate the UK team growth, from Go-to-market strategy and validation, customer interviews and discussions, sales and marketing topics, partner validation, exhibitions, and operational setup based on your strengths.

This role will see you collaborating with our sales, marketing and technical teams locally in the UK, with our central team in Germany and other regions internationally.

The ideal candidate would be confident with speaking to customers and presenting in person or via virtual platforms.

  • Validation of Go-to-market strategy through partner and customer interviews.
  • Working with wider team to establish validate a UK SOFC and Electrolyser Business Model.
  • Setting up documentation and communication channels (NDAs, MS Teams)
  • Support external sales and marketing activities, exhibitions, speeches, articles, presentations.
  • Market research on Hydrogen, Fuel Cell, Electrolyser, and the overall Hydrogen value chain
  • Perform competitor analysis and research.
  • Day to Day Accounting, and administrative support
  • Raising purchase orders

Qualifications

Requirements and skills

  • Candidate must be working towards a business-related degree with a focus on energy markets.
  • Be IT Literate with competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc.
  • Be highly analytical in achieving goals set.
  • Ability to plan and organise time effectively with independent working.
  • Ability to converse in a professional manner both internally and externally.
  • Strong desire to learn and be target driven.
  • Excellent communication skills verbal and written.
  • Must be able to travel locally and internationally with overnight stay.
  • Able to take clear and concise meeting minutes.
  • Due to the flexible nature, candidate is expected to be diligent and conscientious in their ability to work in a team but also on their own.

Qualifications

  • Studying for an undergraduate degree and required to take a placement as part of your course.
  • Business related degree or Engineering degree

Additional information

This is a 12-month internship beginning in August 2025. This position is open to undergraduates students who are required to partake in a work placement as part of their course.

This role has flexible working conditions, meaning there is a requirement for you to complete a balance of work between your home office, Manchester, Wakefield, Denham or Worcester office and customer locations; in some cases overnight stays.

Shortlisted candidates will then be invited to participate in a face to face interview by the hiring team and/or an online assessment centre.

You must have the right to live and work in the UK when you start your placement and for the full duration of your placement. Please note your placement must be directly relevant to your course to comply with visa requirements.
