These are 12-month internship opportunities starting in September 2025.  They are fully site-based roles requiring 5 days per week in Bracknell.  

The role

Communications Intern 

The main duties of the communications intern will be to support activities such as monitoring external media sources, especially as it relates to our products, gathering information on emerging reputational themes and trends, and to assist in developing resources for use across the business; for example, press releases, key message documents and crisis materials. 

In addition to the execution of the main communications activities, the candidate will need to develop their knowledge and understanding of the key issues in the animal health and human pharmaceutical industries, including the rules related external communication in a regulated industry and the planning, development and implementation of a communications plan.

Public & Government Affairs Intern 

The main duties of the public and government affairs (PGA) intern will be to support activities such as mapping external stakeholders, monitoring national political and policy developments, gathering information on health and agriculture policies and trends, and to assist in develop briefing materials for use across the business.

In addition to the execution of the main public affairs activities, the candidate will need to develop their knowledge and understanding of the key issues in the animal health and human pharmaceutical industries, including the rules related external communication in a regulated industry and the planning, development and implementation of a public and government affairs programme.

Requirements

  • Applicants will be studying for a degree in social sciences, natural sciences, English or law.  Or another degree with a demonstrable interest in politics or policy.
  • Applicants must have the ability for independent travel to work in Bracknell and other locations, such as London, from time to time. 
  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK.
  • Can do attitude.
