About Finance
Financial Regulatory Reporting
- Monthly closing of ledgers as per IFRS and FGAAP, and analysis and presentation of quarterly results
- Monthly reconciliations and control checks to ensure integrity and accurate accounting
- Bank of England and PRA reporting
- Preparation of standalone and consolidated annual Financial statements and their audit
Financial Controls
- Ensure compliance with Group Accounting standards, integrity of General Ledger and Monitor the Control Environment surrounding the production of Financial Statements
Tax
- Calculation of taxes, their analysis and reporting for UK entities
- HMRC submissions
- Ensure compliance with latest tax laws
- Provide advice on tax impact
Performance Management – Strategic Monitoring & Reporting
- Management accounting of revenues and expenses, accounting of transfer pricing, and presentation of monthly results
- Budget preparation and reporting
- Preparation of UK Territory financial reports with detailed insights for management
What you’ll do
Placements in rotation in Financial Regulatory Reporting, Performance Management, and Tax will enable you to
- Acquire an overall understanding of Corporate & Institutional Banking activities
- Develop the necessary skills required to work in a large organisation
- Provide you with the platform to display your initiative and drive process improvement
- Develop automation and digitalisation tools
- Provide synthetic views of financials on a sub-scope of CIB London Branch
- Understand the major indicators used to monitor the entity performance
Competencies required for the role
- Excellent academic background (University Degree level minimum) related to Finance or Economics or Econometrics or Business Finance AND / OR related further education (MBA / MSc) AND / OR related work or Internship experience.
- Strong interest in and a good basic understanding of the financial markets
- Fluent in English
- Effective communicator
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills including proficiency using MS Office tools (esp Excel & Powerpoint)
- Sound project & time management skills
