What will you be doing?
As a Graduate Quantity surveyor for BES Infrastructure, you will be responsible for day-to-day commercial activities for assigned contracts and the accurate pricing of new works.
Utilising existing knowledge and with technical and operational support from others, prepare quotations and estimates for new works and apply contract rates to work banks for existing frameworks. You will:
- Work alongside the Estimating and Operational Teams to validate scope, resource requirements and supply chain needs in accordance with commercial approval processes.
- Provide accurate commercial forecasts and track performance indicators against contract requirements.
- Engage with Operational Teams to regularly review and optimise cost management processes.
- Ensure that all pricing estimates are completed in accordance with defined processes and that all approvals are sought in line with BES Group authority levels.
- Ensure that Application for Payment and Invoicing processes for allocated contracts is followed, ensuring timely submissions in line with client expectations and alongside accuracy of filing.
- Ensure that Project Fees are monitored against Client Purchase Order values with appropriate measures taken to uplift in advance mitigating future delay on invoice payments.

- Level 2 qualification in Maths and English (minimum grade C or above)
- Associate Member of relevant Institution (e.g. RICS) Desirable
- 2+ years in a Commercial Management or relevant Engineering / Bridge Inspection position (Desirable)
- Appreciation of commercial contracts (desirable)
- Working knowledge of NR4 and NR3 contracts (desirable)
