There are multiple Industrial Placements available within the below areas

Product Legislation and Transformation:

The Product Legislation and Transformation Industrial Placements sit within the Technical Conformity function. We are responsible to monitor, steer and communicate worldwide vehicle related legislation to affected stakeholders in the business. You will gain invaluable experience into how the whole business operates in relation to Product compliance what it involves, how we meet legal and regulatory requirements, and ensure we meet the business and customer expectations. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the team and different business areas to understand current and future requirements
  • Support the monitoring and communication of product legislation and compliance
  • Improve the key performance indicators (KPI’s) across the department to make them more accessible, engaging and drive performance

Certification (Safety and Markets):

The Certification Industrial Placements sit within the Technical Conformity function. The Technical Conformity department is responsible for the delivery of market approvals of Bentley products for all global markets in advance of release to customers. You will gain invaluable experience being exposed to our luxury products experience the latest innovative technologies, all whilst working alongside and being mentored by industry leading professionals. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Working inside the team responsible for the homologation and certification around the world, preparing the 2026 Model for the future regulatory frames
  • Support the testing and generation of self-certification documentation to enable the sale of our vehicles in North America and South Korea
  • Planning of vehicle safety type approval testing

Environmental Testing

The Environmental and Propulsion Test team are responsible for the delivery of vehicle testing and validation activities performed on pre-production, certification and Customer vehicles for Conformity of production. Working within this team you will gain hands on experience with the Bentley product, support the technological needs of the business, whilst working alongside industry experts in our state of the art climatic test facility. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Working within the testing function to support full range of test disciplines from vehicle diagnostics through to delivery of testing on a chassis dynamometer and on the public roads
  • Working as part of a team of highly skilled Technical Experts delivering testing solutions by facilitating vehicle preparation, data acquisition, test delivery and sharing quality assured information between or facilities and internal customers
  • Collaborate with our external test partners globally to ensure that processes are followed and Bentley benefit from developments in testing technology

About the Function

The Industrial Placement positions sit within the wider Research and Development function (R&D). We are responsible for the entire design and development process of all Bentley products, from idea creation all the way through to engineering sign off. Education

The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: Electrical, Mechanical, Automotive Aeronautical Engineering and Environmental Science. Alternatively, we welcome candidates who have studied Product Law, Compliance and Process Management.
