There are three Industrial Placements available

Quality Projects
The Quality Platform Team works closely with the product line and other Bentley functions to ensure successful delivery of new projects from initial concepts to final car production. You will gain invaluable experience working alongside and being supported by industry experts through managing high impact projects and solving real life business problems. Your main responsibilities include:
- Understanding and learning about new parts and technologies used in Bentley products
- Participate in a wide range of project reviews and activity, including process improvements, problem solving and improved product knowledge
- Opportunity to own a continuous improvement project within our various Quality team
Quality Control
The Quality Control placement sits within Field Quality, this team is responsible for ensuring we identify, prioritise and fix all customer quality concerns. In this role, you will get hands-on problem solving experience, driving solutions to real customer problems, and helping us to maximise customer satisfaction. You’ll lead the topic, analysing the data, defining and implementing tests to prove root cause, working with the solution champion to identify and implement a fix. Your main responsibilities include:
- Take ownership of live customer issues. Investigate and define the problem, identify root cause and solution champion, and enable swift problem solving
- Support the Data Analysis team to develop Connected Car related data analysis, developing useful insights to support problem solving activities
- Complete your own process improvement project – to be defined at start of placement
Supplier Quality
The Series Supplier Quality Team ensures the quality of all parts used on customer cars. In this role you will gain invaluable experience into how quality requirements and targets are achieved in the Automotive Industry with special focus on managing and maintaining supplier performance. Your main responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with Supplier Quality managers and other Bentley functions to improve part and process quality, to ensure customer satisfaction
- Monitoring supplier quality targets, collaborating with suppliers and colleagues in partner functions to drive supplier performance
- Opportunity to work with wider business areas such as Manufacturing and Logistics to wider your business understanding
About the Function
The Industrial Placement roles sit within the wider Quality Function. The Quality department is one of the most versatile functions at Bentley, the Quality function plays a vital role in numerous cross-functional processes that shape our business landscape.

Education
The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, Logistics or Sustainability and Product Management.
