There are three Industrial Placements available

Mulliner Operations

The Mulliner Operations team are responsible for the logistics and manufacturing aspects of the delivery of our unique vehicles. Within this team you’ll gain invaluable experience working alongside experienced team members creating unique high value bespoke vehicles that can’t be matched elsewhere. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Negotiating with suppliers and managing material trackers for a range of vehicles, including the raising of purchase orders
  • Understand and implement electrical processes and systems for new projects
  • Become a member of our new project planning team, taking on specific end to end tasks which deliver a manufacturing process and facility that is fit for purpose for the future of Mulliner

Mulliner Technical

The Mulliner technical team are responsible for product development, validation and delivery across the entire portfolio. Working in a unique and dynamic area of the business, you will get an unparalleled insight into our customers’ needs and an understanding of how we engineer their dreams into reality. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Opportunity to work on projects from conception to customer delivery, participating in all phases of product development
  • Attending customer events to provide technical support
  • Opportunity to investigate future facing technical developments that could be implemented into higher production volumes

Mulliner Project Management

The Mulliner product and strategy team are responsible for delivery of all Mulliner projects, within this role you’ll gain a unique overview of how projects are planned, defined and delivered in the Mulliner function of Bentley. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Collaborate with the project leaders to deliver projects and influence future Mulliner products
  • Engage with other departments to ensure their deliverables are: on time, on budget and to the required quality
  • Improving project management processes such as digitising a project management tool

About the Function

The Mulliner roles sit within the wider Mulliner Function. Mulliner has roots that can be traced back to before the birth of the motor car and operates today as Bentley’s personal commissioning division. Bentley Mulliner operates as a division within Bentley and has three distinct product offerings Coachbuilt , Classic and Collections.

Education

The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Product Design, Robotics, Economics, Business Management or Logistics.

Skills

  • Communication skills
  • Good time and project management
  • Team working skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Programmes
  • Demonstrable experience of an interest in STEM subjects
  • Experience with CAD software preferred but not essential
  • Interest or basic knowledge of PRINCE2 is preferred but not essential
