There are two Industrial Placements available

New Model Feasibility

The New Model Feasibility team are responsible for ensuring that the Bentley design is feasible to build and can be successful launched into Production. In this role you will gain invaluable experience working alongside and being mentored by industry leading experts, collaborating with multiple business areas and gain hand on experience with cutting edge technology. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Collaboratively work with the team to generate manufacturing recommendations to improve future projects
  • Analyse design data to identify potential risks and support with identifying resolutions
  • Opportunity to own your own process improvement project within New Model Feasibility and leave your mark on the function

Manufacturing Pre Launch (Onsite)

The Manufacturing Launch team are the link between Engineering and Manufacturing when it comes to launching new products. Our teams mission is to deliver pre series vehicles and capture concerns early. In this role you will gain invaluable experience working alongside and being mentored by industry leading experts, learn and understand the concepts and processes within launch and also how to deliver all launch targets and objectives. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Working alongside other business areas to understand all concepts of manufacturing and how Launch fits into the Bentley lifecycle planning
  • Collect data and report back on findings to Launch Management
  • Opportunity to develop your own ideas and concepts to support the launch team

The Industrial Placement positions sit within the wider Manufacturing Function. Our goal in Manufacturing is to deliver an extraordinary journey for our customers, inspiring them with a magical fusion of craftsmanship, innovation and sustainability. From influencing the design of our products to their launch, from a customer order to the handover, we aim to deliver extraordinary results in everything we do.

Education

The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: Manufacturing Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Maths, Physics. Alternatively we will welcome other STEM subjects with a focus on Engineering.
