What you’ll be doing

Working within the Laboratory team, you will have exposure to a broad range of materials and settings. In this role you will gain invaluable experience through using different test methods and analysis techniques, the opportunity to influence the quality of our vehicles and sustainable material choices. All, whilst working alongside and being mentored by a team of materials experts to boost your technical and personal development. Your main responsibilities include;

  • Component/Materials testing of a multitude of components
  • Reporting of experiments
  • Business experience and opportunities for cross functional working
  • Supporting and assisting field experts

About the Function

The Laboratory team plays a key role in ensuring the highest standard of quality of the materials and fluids used in our Bentley products. You get exposure to a variety of materials such as steel, leather, adhesives, plastic moldings etc., and the opportunity to gain experience in using a variety of techniques such as corrosion mechanisms, thermal testing, microanalysis, microscopy, adhesion testing, metallurgical preparation etc.

Education

The successful candidates will be on track to achieve a 2:1 in the following degrees: Materials Science, Polymer Science, Chemistry or Mechanical Engineering.
