The role

We are on an exciting journey of expanding our BBC content offerings on the bbc.com and international app to our monthly ~120m global audiences, and we are looking for a Junior Delivery Manager, keen to start your career path towards IT delivery management, to help shape and deliver this programme of work. In this role you will work closely with the Lead Delivery Manager supporting with coordination, reporting and financial forecasting and monitoring. You will become part of a strong delivery team where individual contribution and accountability is as highly valued as collaboration and creativity.

Key responsibilities

  • Overseeing and managing a wide range of administrative tasks
  • Providing support in the delivery processes of products and services to achieve targeted outcomes.
  • Acting as the point of contact for external suppliers and contractors and colleagues across Studios departments
  • Updating financial forecasts based on information from finance and managing finance trackers, maintaining forecasts and updating actuals
  • Document writing and maintenance.
  • Keeping time logging system up to date
  • Supporting on onboarding and offboarding of new team members
  • Updating and sharing status reports with the team
  • Coordinating and gathering other stakeholders’ input for reporting
  • Coordinating onboarding meetings for new employees and team introductions.
  • Facilitating system and tool access for new starters.
  • Monitoring and recording monthly working hours.
  • Reviewing project Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies register and sharing updates/reminders with contributors
  • Maintain delivery momentum and makes visible blockers, risks and impediments to progress
  • Managing the risk register and sending out reminders.
  • Onboarding external suppliers.
  • Collecting input from stakeholders on product performance.
  • Conducting health check-ins.
  • Creating purchase orders and processing invoices.

What does it take?

Key criteria

  • Extensive administrative experience required, with a strong track record of managing complex tasks and projects.
  • Experience working with digital platforms or IT
  • Strong experience in planning and working to tight deadlines
  • Proven experience collaborating with stakeholders, monitoring delivery progress, and addressing challenges.
  • Understanding of delivery methods and an interest in learning different agile practices and approaches to team working
  • Awareness of the financial impact and able to act as a point of contact for contracted suppliers
