Supporting the production and analyses of computer vision and machine learning systems for automated inspection developed by Omnicom Balfour Beatty.

Accountabilities

  • Participate in cutting-edge applied research on computer vision and machine learning systems for automated railway inspection;
  • Collaborate with the computer vision, data analytics, and software engineering teams for production and maintenance of surveying and inspection systems;
  • Participation in data analysis, analytical modelling, and productionisation of advanced analytical solutions.

Personal qualities and experience

The following qualities/experience are essential

  • Enrolled in a bachelor's or master's program, with the option to include a 12-month industrial placement as a part of your degree program.
  • Studying computer science, mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • Good coding skills, for at least one programming language such as C/C++, Python (Python Preferred.)
  • Enthusiasm for the cutting-edge technologies, in particular computer vision and machine learning.
  • Excellent analytical, teamwork, and communication skills

The following qualities/experience are desirable

  • Expertise in deep learning using PyTorch or TensorFlow.
  • Industrial programming experience such as familiarity with Linux and Git.
  • Knowledge of image processing, computer vision, or machine learning.
