Get to know the different pathway roles

There are four different specialisms on offer. We’d love for graduates to be as open as possible about the different routes. But do let us know on your application if you have a preferred role. We’ll do what we can to help you light your own path.

Brand & Corporate Affairs (Bristol, London, Norwich or York)

This role is all about building trust, nurturing strong relationships with everyone from customers to investors, showcasing exactly why Aviva is the UK’s leading diversified insurer.

You will get experience of:

  • Sustainability: helping to deliver our Aviva Sustainability Ambition.
  • Brand: deepen the meaning of our brand through stronger category differentiation.
  • Financial Comms: take the market and financial media by storm.
  • Corporate Comms: Our new Climate Read index assesses the climate readiness of G7 economies and Ireland – help roll out a campaign and shout about it.
  • Employee Comms: deliver a step change in how our colleagues bring our ‘Customer Centricity’ to life.
  • Public Affairs: Fight for fairness and much-needed reforms in areas from cladding to Solvency II, the rules which protect policyholder in Europe, and much more.

Customer Change & Transformation (Norwich, Sheffield or York)

If you know what makes people tick, and you love the idea of getting close to customers – this is the place for you. As a Customer Change & Transformation Graduate, you’ll be part of the team constantly reimagining what we can do to deliver a better experience for our 19.5 million customers, strengthening our bond with them in a variety of ways.

Investments (London or York)

Join us our investments specialism and as a graduate there are two distinct roles you can choose from during your application:

  • Investment Analyst (London): this focuses on the quantitative and qualitative analysis that drives our asset strategy – coming up with new ideas and creating compelling reports that set out where we should be investing and why
  • Investment Oversight Analyst (York): in this role you’d be supporting in managing the operational risks within our investment function – overseeing and monitoring the investment management firms we appoint and making sure we’re doing things the right way.

What we’re looking for

  • You'll either have a degree, in any subject, or be on track to graduate by the end of Summer 2025

  • A strong ability to build and develop relationships.
  • For the Investments roles you’ll need to be good with numbers.

Where could you be based?

Our Business Management Pathway opportunities are based in Bristol, London, Norwich, Sheffield and York: all buzzing places in which to launch your career. Not all role types are available in every location, so tell us on your application if you have a preference. It’s important that you live within commuting distance of the office where the role is based, or be willing to relocate prior to start date as you’ll need to spend time with your team in person, as well as virtually, working from home. Three days in the office and two days from home is typical, but this will vary between teams.
