A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Graduate to join our Central Land team as a Trainee Land Buyer based at our head office in Barlborough, Chesterfield. The role will provide support by working closely with our regional Land Director, taking an active involvement to support the coordination of the land acquisition process.

The role

Are you a Graduate with a property related degree, looking to begin your career in land with a well-established developer? Do you hold a full driving licence? If the answer is yes, then look no further, your next career could be with us!

Joining our team as Trainee Land Buyer, You will be responsible for but not limited to:

• Assisting in the process of new land acquisition opportunities for the Central region
• Supporting the preparation and presentation of information packs to support land offers.
• Assisting in the administration of key land processes, information exchange, taking minutes and producing reports.
• Involvement in land related Commercial and Technical documentation.
• Supporting the Land Director in the process of preparing Board Papers and updating the regional management team on all land supply and land acquisition activity.
• Ensuring the relevant legal documentation is prepared for each development or phase of development.
• Actively managing communications with internal and external stakeholders.

Who are we looking for?

To be successful as our Trainee Land Buyer, you will have recently Graduated in a relevant property related subject whilst also showcasing an interest to learn and understand the process of buying land, from the initial acquisition identification stage through to securing land deals.

You must possess an ambitious and driven attitude with a desire to learn and become a part of a rapidly growing business. You will also possess:

• A full UK driving licence.
• Good communication skills including the ability to communicate with stakeholders of all levels.
• A team driven attitude.
• The ability to work within tight deadlines.
• A keen interest in housebuilding and in particular the land process.
• Experience of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint along with presentation writing skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Strong general administration and project management skills.
