Are you ready to gain hands-on experience in the world of luxury automotive procurement?

We are recruiting six Procurement Industrial Placement students to join our 12-month placement scheme, where you’ll immerse yourself in the heart of our Procurement department, experiencing how our team selects and manages all external suppliers. You’ll see first-hand the impact procurement has on Aston Martin’s profitability and success by developing competitive, long-term supply agreements. This placement is your opportunity to be part of a team where unity, trust, ownership, and courage drive our culture and where your contributions will shape the future of one of the world’s most iconic luxury brands.

In this role, you’ll collaborate daily with the wider Procurement team and multiple cross function colleagues, working closely with supply partners to assess costs, negotiate deals, and source new partners. The role requires an individual who isn’t afraid to ask challenging questions, think creatively, and take ownership of procurement tasks. Your efforts will help Aston Martin secure strong supplier relationships and maintain its competitive edge.

What you'll do 

  • Strategic Sourcing: Support the team in identifying and selecting new supply partners to enhance our supply base.
  • Cost Management: Take ownership of procurement costs to optimise the company’s profitability.
  • Supplier Negotiations: Negotiate with current and potential partners to secure the best terms.
  • Collaborative Work: Work alongside Buyers and Senior Buyers to deliver on procurement objectives and meet project deadlines.
  • Continuous Learning: Ask questions, seek guidance, and propose new ideas to drive team improvements.
  • Hands-on Experience: Gain real-time exposure to the procurement function, working on projects that influence Aston Martin's success.
  • Real-Time Projects: Work on projects with multiple deadlines, giving you an understanding of the full procurement process.

Key requirements

  • Educational Background: Pursuing a degree with a minimum predicted 2:1 grade, returning to the final year of study after the placement.
  • UCAS Points: Achieved 128 UCAS points at A-Level or an equivalent qualification.
  • Commutable to Gaydon: This role is fully onsite, based at our Gaydon HQ.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong communication skills, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
