To achieve this, our 7,500 Switchers combine their historical engineering expertise and project management with digital technologies.
In our 12 countries (Europe, Middle East, Asia) of operation, we are working on the production and distribution of low-carbon electricity, through the development of nuclear and renewable energies. We are also supporting the modernisation and development of energy grids, managing the setup and siting for new transmission and distribution networks, and using hydrogen to decarbonise the transport and industry sectors.
About our graduate programme
As a graduate at Assystem, from Day 1 you will be welcomed to the Assystem family, we will focus on getting you up to speed on what we do, our values, and what you can look forward to on our 2-year experience. You will have the opportunity to work with customers on live projects, bring value from the start and learn new skills.
As part of the programme, you will have access to Mentors, benefit from peer-to-peer learning through our Graduate Forums, identify and develop skills through our upskilling framework, and the opportunity to work across different industries and customers.
We are looking for candidates with a passion for commercial management and a demonstrable commitment to the profession and your career development. You’ll will work closely alongside more senior consultants and will receive close support. Tasks and responsibilities will vary depending on the client and the nature and stage of the project being worked on. It may be required to work on multiple projects and with multiple clients simultaneously covering both pre-and post contract phases.
Working in collaboration with commercial management teams, you will support the delivery of services across:
- Cost management
- Estimating and cost control
- Contract and procurement
- Audit and assurance
- Report writing
- Pre and post-contract administration
My profile
Essential
- Degree in quantity surveying or commercial management, ideally accredited by RICS.
- A passion for commercial and cost management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strategically minded with strong analytical and problems solving skills
Desirable
Knowledge of the profession and an understanding of the pathway along with awareness of RICS or CICES with a desire to achieve chartered status.
Requirements for assystem graduate scheme
- Successful Candidate must be a UK Sole National
- Successful Candidate must be willing to relocate as part of their rotational Scheme (Relocation Support available)
Security clearance
The successful applicant must be a UK resident and, due to the nature of the work to be undertaken, applicants will be required to meet this criteria in order to attain a minimum level of BPSS clearance.
