At Arup we’re dedicated to sustainable development and to do socially useful work that has meaning. Our purpose, shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 75 years, guiding how we shape a better world.

We solve the world's most complex problems and deliver what seems impossible. We explore challenges with curiosity and creativity - using technology, imagination and rigour to deliver remarkable outcomes.

The opportunity

Our Technical Safety, Risk and Reliability team works across a range of safety critical and asset intensive industries including major hazard (gas, chemical and renewable energy), the transport and rail sectors (metro, high-speed rail) to mission-critical infrastructure (data centres, hospital & financial services), and emerging technology sectors.

The team applies its skill and knowledge to appreciate what can go wrong, identify where things are not working effectively, to promote our client in making informed decisions that account for uncertainty and risk on sophisticated solutions, in order to enhance the quality, efficiency, safety, security and environmental protection of their people and critical assets.

We're looking for a Summer Intern to work along side our teams in London.

The role may include the following tasks:

  • Populating hazard logs and risk registers
  • Scribing at workshops to ensure all information has been accurately captured
  • Writing minutes of meetings post workshops

  • Writing reports
  • Use statistical scrutiny to review data sets to promote safety, risk and reliability evaluations
  • Team operational tasks and activities, and work winning activities

This role is for students studying a relevant degree who are looking to take a mid-degree or final year summer internship placement starting in June or July 2025 for a duration of 8 weeks.
