In the first year, you’ll have the opportunity to work and learn across the entire project lifecycle by spending four months working in depth in each one of our three service pillars:
- Strategic Advisory
- Technical Advisory Programme
- Project management
Working across a wide variety of health infrastructure projects, including national programmes of transformation and investment, your work will be challenging and varied. As you help support the delivery of projects, you’ll be blending hands-on client and project experience with professional development, qualifications and support.
Innovation sits at the heart of our business, and throughout the programme you'll be encouraged to think inquisitively and make a real contribution towards growing and developing our business.
Personal and Professional Development
A clear career pathway
In your second year, you'll be supported in selecting your preferred technical competency and professional career pathway while supporting a range of relevant projects to help deepen your growing skills and experience as part of your development into a Consultant role in your chosen service area.
Supporting your success
Through our regular appraisal process, you’ll meet with your line manager twice a year to share your career aspirations and progress. Together, you'll set objectives, supported by investment in your training and development to help you progress along a structured career pathway, with clear and transparent milestones to strive for as part of our wider People Development Framework.
Industry recognised learning
Alongside regular continued professional development through our internal learning and development resources, we’ll ensure you have access to leading industry-wide knowledge and innovation by investing in a relevant professional membership for you, with the opportunity to study for a professional qualification with an industry accredited organisation such as RICS or APM.
Life at Archus
Health and Wellbeing
The health and wellbeing of our team is important to us. Our hybrid working policy will give you the flexibility to work from home as well as collaborating and socialising in our modern, city-centre offices across the UK. From team fitness challenges and charity challenge events to mental health first aiders and a host of educational health and wellbeing resources on our benefits portal, we’ve committed to ensuring that Archus is a healthy place to work.
Social events
Our social champions plan a range of events through the year with something for everyone, including parties, charity fundraising and volunteering opportunities. Once a year, we host an action-packed team away day where we bring together our teams in-person to a national event where we share business updates and discuss strategy, enjoy fun activities, and celebrate our achievements, including our annual People Awards.
Charity and Community
We are passionate about being a responsible business and working in partnership with our local communities. You’ll have the chance to give something back, whether that's through activities which benefit our environment, volunteering days or fundraising events.
Diversity and Inclusion
We pride ourselves on being a diverse and inclusive organisation, welcoming people with a range of ethnicity, gender, religion and sexual orientation into our team. Our Diversity and Inclusion working group brings together individuals from across the business to ensure that Archus is a safe space and that diversity and inclusivity is engrained in our company’s DNA, all year round.
Benefits
Pay and performance
Archus is a team and our success is based on our collective contributions. To recognise the efforts we see and reward our people as they deliver for our clients and help us in growing a successful, responsible business we conduct regular pay reviews in line with our externally benchmarked competency-based pay structure, and award bonuses based on both business and personal performance.
Employee Share Trust
You'll also become a member of the Archus Employee Share Trust, which represents a 10% share in the business owned by all employees. This means that as shareholders, Archus employees enjoy regular dividends, with share allocations increasing based on their length of service and remuneration.

Our benefits portal provides a raft of perks for our team to take advantage of, including cycle to work scheme, a wide range of technology and retail discounts and lots of useful resources to help you grow your personal health and wellbeing. This is in addition to our generous standard benefits package, which includes:
