IT – Reporting Engineer Summer Internship

During your 8-week internship as a Reporting Engineer, you will collaborate with the Digital Product Managers (DPM), business system owners, members of the team, and users to capture business requirements and work with the team to accurately translate them into reporting solutions in a fluid, iterative and agile manner.

You will develop skills to be proficient with the use of reporting techniques and skills to deliver functionality in the shape of extracts, reports, dashboards, generative AI and other solutions fit for purpose.

The internship will involve detailed data analysis to support the provision of data to and from the new & existing shared service systems, building a strong understanding of enterprise data flows and data engineering technologies and practices.

The Summer Internship runs from Monday 23rd June - Friday 15 August 2025 and is a paid opportunity

Key tasks & responsibilities

  • Liaising with 3rd party suppliers and implementation partners to support the timely completion of AII deliverables for any existing projects and provide local oversight of Corporate-level deliverables.
  • Building close working relationships with business stakeholders, ensuring they are kept up to date and involved.
  • Learning and maintaining knowledge of the reporting suite across Shared Services.
  • Conducting detailed data analysis in collaboration with upstream product teams to define data requirements for shared service systems and ensure dependencies on other product teams can be resolved within required timeframes.
  • Working with QA colleagues to support the robust testing of system changes.
  • Conducting system prototype demonstrations to validate requirements with stakeholders.

Qualifications & experience

  • Expected/achieved minimum 2:1 classification in an IT-related degree discipline
