The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Litigation Paralegal to join our Commercial team in our London Bridge office. Our commercial team handles a broad range of complex civil litigation and contentious probate work.

You will be employed in the area of civil litigation on a mixed caseload.

  • Assisting the team with new client enquiries.
  • Drafting Court documents for claims within the County Court and High Court regimes.
  • Drafting other correspondence between clients and other solicitors.
  • Supporting fee-earners on the full range of contentious probate claims and other civil litigation claims.
  • Manage professionally and confidentially, written and telephone correspondence with clients, other solicitors and third parties.
  • Part of the role will be involved with supporting fee-earners with their marketing initiatives in line with our business plan.
  • Conduct legal research as required.

  • The ability to work for several fee-earners.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Aptitude for working under time pressure and to tight timescales within a fast paced and dynamic litigation team.
  • Flexible and proactive approach with 'can do' attitude.
  • Organised and able to prioritise.
  • Can take responsibility and ownership of your work.
  • Strong problem solving and communication skills in all mediums.
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance obligations.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Law/CILEx or previous experience of working in a similar role
  • Experience of litigation would be of value.
