Job Description

Join Our Team as a Logistics Coordinator at De Beers Jewellers. 

Are you an organized and detail-oriented individual with a passion for logistics? We are seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join our team at De Beers Jewellers for a 18 month FTC. As the Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for the import and export of our exquisite jewellery, ensuring compliance with security and insurance regulations.

At De Beers Jewellers, we pride ourselves on our exceptional quality and craftsmanship. As our Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our logistics processes and ensuring that our products reach our stores promptly and accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Distribution Process:

• Efficiently pick stock from the vault for stock allocations.
• Prepare goods for distribution to stores by properly packing, labelling, and verifying product information.
• Prepare necessary documents for distribution using SAP.
• Declare export shipments to agents and UK customs in accordance with regulations and laws.
• Communicate shipping details to agents and consignees.
• Apply for export Carnets and CITES.

Receiving Import Shipments:

• Declare returns and shipments to agents and UK customs in compliance with regulations and laws.
• Thoroughly check received goods against shipping documents by unpacking imports.
• Accurately book stock returns from stores into SAP.

Vault Maintenance:

• Receive stock from Quality Control and Diamond Centre teams.
• Organize and maintain a tidy vault at all times.

Packaging and Visual Merchandising (VM):

• Manage orders for packaging and carrier bags from stores.
• Coordinate with suppliers to dispatch packaging and VM items to stores nationally and internationally via the most cost-efficient route.
• Collaborate with the warehouse to receive and dispatch VM and packaging items.
• Generate all necessary custom documents for exports.

Preparing E-commerce Orders:

• Utilise the internal sales order system to process orders.
• Pack and dispatch orders, arranging shipment with carriers.
• Handle returns and refunds efficiently.

Qualifications

Experience and Education:

• Previous experience in shipping or logistics, preferably in a retail environment.
• Knowledge of customs processes is desirable.

Language Skills:

• Fluent in written and spoken English.

Competency Requirements:

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both in person and in writing.
• Customer service-oriented mindset.
• Motivated, positive, and a team player.

Computer Skills:

• Strong Microsoft Office skills, with a particular focus on Excel (VLOOKUPs, use of formulas, etc.).
• Basic SAP knowledge would be an advantage.
