The role

The Industrial Connectivity and Control BU are seeking a motivated graduate Mixed Signal Design Verification Engineer to join our team located at ADI’s European Research and Development Headquarters in Limerick.  The successful candidate will join a dynamic team with excellent opportunities to work on leading edge development in Industrial automation.

Our diverse portfolio of products encompassing Industrial communication (eg Ethernet Phys and switches, IO-Link, Homebus,..) with configurable measurement and control ( precision Analog and Digital I/O), which operate in harsh high voltage industrial domains and facilitates a wide variation of skill development and technology node experience.

This position will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to learn, develop and enhance their skills from experienced engineers, working across multidisciplinary cross-functional teams including Analog Design, Digital Design, Test, Bench Evaluation and Applications. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate engineer to work on large scale silicon developments, spanning understanding end customer applications to the details of analog and digital designs, leading to the modelling and verification of pre silicon systems to ensure silicon work first time.

Duties

A successful candidate will develop/learn the following capabilities:

  • Implementing verification strategies for mixed-signal designs
  • Creating test benches to verify the performance of precision amplifier designs
  • Creating behavioral models of analog circuits
  • Use behavioral models to enable comprehensive, top-down, metric-driven verification of new analog and mixed-signal designs
  • Verifying that a design meets the project’s technical requirements

About you

Minimum qualifications

  • Graduate Engineer with Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Engineering or Science discipline

Preferred attributes

  • Strong desire to learn in a highly innovative and collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated individual, results orientated and willing to develop solutions to new technical challenges
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to explore new solutions.
  • Ability to work as part of a product development team to achieve a common goal
  • Interest/experience in programming/scripting

Preferred/Advantageous skills

  • Understanding of fundamental Analog and Digital Circuits
  • Experience in circuit simulation.
  • Data analytics and visualization skills.
