The role
Develop processes and procedures that will improve the quality of data analysis while improving engineering efficiency.
They will work with software development teams to automate data analysis and monitoring solutions ranging from standard reports to AI solutions identifying areas of highest concern.
In order to meet the global needs of the company, the role will involve close engagement with engineering, quality control, and global operations.
Key responsibilities
- Collaborate and gain alignment within cross-functional teams to develop process improvements through data analysis and problem solving.
- Apply analytical and statistical methodologies to assess process capability, specifications, identify trends and provide appropriate conclusions for product reviews.
- Provide training and mentoring to technical staff to strengthen capabilities in statistical methods and data-based decision making.
- Interpret and communicate the results of data analytics and statistical analysis clearly and concisely to audiences with varying backgrounds and degrees of technical understanding.
- Develop advanced data models and data analysis solutions to solve complex engineering challenges.
About you
Pre-Requisites
- BSc in Statistics, Data Science, Electronic Engineering or a relevant discipline.
- Strong foundational knowledge in statistics, data analytics, and quantitative analysis.
- Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for varied audiences.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong problem-solving skills
Preferred qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Electronic Engineering
- Prior knowledge and experience with programming, data analysis and process modelling in tools such as Python, R, MATLAB, JMP, etc. is preferable.
- Knowledge of software development practices, including lifecycle management, Git, and peer review, is a plus.
