The Wireless Battery Management System’s team are seeking a motivated, experienced System Test Engineer to provide support to our Automotive team located at ADI’s Limerick, Ireland site.

Responsibilities

Automotive BMS /Wireless BMS are very complex solutions, designed and engineered by >100 engineers. Verification of those solutions is as critical as the design.

It requires excellent system understanding, system verification thinking and close teamwork with Hardware +  Software design, System Applications, System Architecture and Quality teams.   

  • The Systems Validation engineer is responsible for driving the systems validation effort of our key programs and will work with the system architect(s) and designers to understand the requirements, specifications, and implementations to prepare and execute suitable validation plans.   
  • Define a long-term validation roadmap of capabilities, flows and methodologies to continuously improve productivity. 
  • Creatively plan to test devices in corner cases where potential marginalities and issues could arise above and beyond the given specifications. 
  • Consult on required hardware system boards and software to automate the test cases to achieve best coverage and the highest efficiency.

About you

Minimum qualifications  

  • Minimum BSC or BENG in Electronic or Computer Engineering; MSEE or MSCE.  
  • In our growing team we are looking for several candidates from graduates to experienced engineers  

Experience and skills

  • Understanding of Systems Engineering and/or formal testing of complex (ideally automotive) systems 
  • C/C++ (embedded) and Python or other programming/scripting languages. 
  • Very good hardware and software troubleshooting skills. 
  • Experience with Software Compiler/debug tools, for example IAR/Keil/Segger 
  • Experience with software revision control, repositories, and regression testing (for example Git, Bitbucket, SVN) 
  • Knowledge in analog and mixed-signal board design and layout 
  • Comfortable with Spectrum/logic analyzers and oscilloscopes and other hardware debug tools 
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate effectively with people in different functions. 
  • Clear communicator with excellent verbal, written and organizational skills. 
  • Motivated, proactive, fast learner and hands-on 

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience in automated silicon validation  
  • Background in automated Software and System Verification  
  • Experience in wireless networking or RF  
  • Experience in the development or validation of functionally safe products 
  • Experience of requirements management (JAMA, DOORs etc.) 
  • Background in Functional Safety 
  • Background in Cybersecurity 
  • Experience with ARM-based microcontrollers (Cortex-Mx or Cortex-Rx series)
