The role

The Industrial Connectivity and Control BU are seeking a motivated graduate Digital Design Engineer to join our team located at ADI’s European Research and Development Headquarters in Limerick. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team with excellent opportunities to work on leading edge development in Industrial automation.

Our diverse portfolio of products encompassing Industrial communication (eg Ethernet Phys and switches, IO-Link, Homebus,..) with configurable measurement and control ( precision Analog and Digital I/O), which operate in harsh high voltage industrial domains and facilitates a wide variation of skill development and technology node experience.

This position will afford the successful candidate the opportunity to learn, develop and enhance their digital design skills from experienced engineers, working across multidisciplinary cross-functional teams including Analog Design, Design Verification, Physical Implementation Test, Bench Evaluation and Applications. 

This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate engineer to develop leading edge digital solutions on large scale mixed signal silicon developments for applications in Industrial communications and control.

Duties

The successful candidate will develop/learn the following capabilities:

  • RTL coding to develop digital design solutions
  • Implementation of designs in silicon chip and FPGA forms
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve the overall product designs:-
    • Analog design engineers to achieve mixed-signal product designs
    • Design Verification team to validate new designs
    • Physical design team to achieve implementation of the digital cores (i.e.  synthesis, P&R, timing closure, scan production test etc…)
    • Actively participate in product definition and review

About you

Minimum qualifications

  • Graduate Engineer with Bachelor’s (or higher) degree  in Engineering or Science discipline

  • Strong desire to learn in a highly innovative and collaborative environment
  • Self-motivated individual, results orientated and willing to develop solutions to new technical challenges
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to explore new solutions.
  • Ability to work as part of a product development team to achieve a common goal
  • Interest/experience in programming / scripting                      

Preferred/Advantageous skills

  • Experience of Verilog\VHDL RTL design considered advantageous.
  • Understanding of fundamental Analog and Digital Circuits
