The role
The Edinburgh team is seeking an Analog Design Intern to join its talented Consumer Audio group located in the city center of the Scottish capital.
The successful candidate will join a diverse team that is exciting, supportive, listens to other ideas, is eager to teach, and to share knowledge. It is the ideal place to build foundational technical expertise and interpersonal skills.
As a member of the Audio design team, you will be designing the next generation of high-performance audio solutions defining the way devices are operated, the way music is enjoyed, and the way people connect to each other.

Responsibilities
- Conduct architecture research and feasibility studies
- Design, simulate and verify low power analog IC designs under guidance of senior engineers
- Establish verification plan and simulation of design blocks
- Work closely with layout engineers on physical design to review layouts and provide feedback for optimal area and performance
- Conduct Design Reviews and recommend solutions
About you
Minimum qualifications
- Pursuing an M.S. or Ph.D. Electronic Engineering degree with emphasis on transistor level analog/mixed-signal IC design and systems
- Good understanding of Analog IC design blocks (Amplifiers, Comparators, Bandgap and Oscillators etc.) and device physics fundamentals in the CMOS technology
- Familiarity with cadence IC design EDA (Schematic entry/simulation) tools
- Excellent written and oral communications skills
- Able to work and collaborate in a team environment
- Familiar with lab testing equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal generators for the characterization, debug, and validation of design prototype
Preferred qualifications
- Passion for Audio
- Familiarity of power supply circuits such as buck / boost converters
- Familiarity of ADC/DAC design and digital signal processing concepts
