Each year we are looking for around 10 Graduates interested joining our Graduate Program in various functions: R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Sales & Marketing, HR, Finance, PMO and more. The next program will start in October 2024.

The contract of this R&D Graduate Program will be based in Winterbourne, UK.

The Graduate Program is an 18 months development opportunity, which consists of 2 or 3 international rotations in one of our + 50 facilities located in Europe.

As an AFEMEA Graduate you will gain insight into the assigned function from different perspectives – by supporting plant-based daily activities as well as being involved in the central European projects, together with your Sponsor. You will have a chance to prove your skills on different levels, getting involved with various projects and collaborating with numerous stakeholders with different background, experience, and seniority. Our Graduate Program is designed for creative and motivated thinkers who love learning and taking on new challenges and responsibilities, not afraid of dealing with ambiguity and change.

As an R&D graduate

  • You will gain insight and be part of the largest and most advanced global flexible packaging R&D team. You’ll have access to a set of research and product development programs that we’re running globally and particularly focussed in driving our sustainability agenda which aims at developing and implementing solutions that are recyclable, use renewable sources and contribute to a reduction in carbon footprint.
  • Your assignments will include the direct responsibility on tasks and support of a global team working on research projects including the scouting of materials and technologies and the development of recyclable solutions
  • You will be part of the Sustainability global R&D team and collaborate with colleagues from other R&D areas, our laboratories, pilot lines and operations around the globe.

What do you need?

It’s a good start to have the following:

  • Master’s/Honours degree in chemical, materials, physics, surface chemistry etc.
  • Fluency in English is required.
  • Passion for Product Development and Sustainability. Desire to be part of the solution bringing circular economy to a reality in the packaging world.
  • Proactive and hands-on personality with a results-oriented focus
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects efficiently
  • Ability to communicate efficiently (summarize activities, draw conclusion, make proposals)
  • Collaboration skills and ability to work in a team in a multi-cultural environment
  • Desire a long-term career in R&D / Product Development
  • First international working experience as an asset
  • Permanent work permit in the UK
