The successful candidate must have a strong passion for digital assets (L1s, L2s, DeFi, Infra, etc.) and financial markets, possess excellent research skills, and be able to think outside the box. Your internship

You will be working hands-on with live projects and will be assigned specific responsibilities part of Altana’s digital assets team. You will be working with our portfolio managers to assist them on day-to-day activities with a focus on research, trading analysis & reporting. Your work will be focused towards ADAF and composable blockchains & ecosystems, but you will also interact with ADCF & ASF, alongside Altana’s diverse fund offering and team.

You will get the chance to gain unique insights into the industry, culture, and strategy. Duration of internship is flexible: ideally a minimum of 8 weeks, with the potential to lead to a full-time role. We are also flexible on the number of days per week if the candidate is still studying.

This role will provide a rotational internship in the departments of back-office operations, trading, portfolio management, day-to-day operations, and relationship management. You will have the chance to participate in stakeholder meetings, get exposure to assessing risk tolerance and strategic asset allocation in various investment portfolios.

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting market and industry research on trends related to digital assets namely various blockchain ecosystems and keeping track of the industry narratives and upcoming investment themes
  • Conducting research on a broad range of topics including market mapping, competition monitoring, key trends and business metrics
  • Providing quality, data-driven due diligence reports/trade ideas using creative sourcing techniques where market data is not readily available
  • Writing monthly fund newsletters
  • Providing real time support to the Investment Directors, Portfolio Managers and Traders

Development:

  • Develop good knowledge of full trade lifecycle, stakeholder management, and learning the structures of Asset Managers and Hedge Funds
  • Experience hands-on the constant challenges and demands of our business under the guidance and scrutiny of colleagues and senior management
  • We will provide structured feedback and intensive mentoring throughout the internship to ensure you get the most out of your experience
  • Top performing interns may receive an offer to join us on a full-time basis

What we are looking for

  • ‘Crypto native’ experience is a must
  • Strong research, mathematical, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Must have strong intellectual curiosity, an entrepreneurial spirit and a passion for digital assets and financial markets
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and strong team ethic
  • Proven numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • History of academic excellence or defined experience in the field through internship, entrepreneurial projects, or employment
  • Knowledge of Solidity / Python programming languages are beneficial
