The International Customer Interaction team plays a pivotal role in bridging the gap between the IT and Commercial sides of the business, ensuring a collaborative approach is employed in defining how technology can help us craft Everyday Amazing customer experiences and shape Aldi’s future.
On this Placement you will be exposed to the forever growing world of digital products. We are looking for someone who likes to be up-to-date in the digital world and will play a key role in helping select the best solutions to shape Aldi’s future.
You will gain exposure to various areas within the department, whilst based in the Global Customer Strategy team.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities within the Global Customer Strategy team will include:
- Help conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify industry trends and opportunities
- Support the development of propositions and business cases for new initiatives
- Input into the strategic vision/roadmap based on prioritised initiatives
- Communicate the strategy to various stakeholders across Aldi south countries
- Support countries and working areas (e.g., Marketing, Customer Services, eCommerce, etc) in implementing the Customer Interaction strategy
- Develop senior stakeholder communication to report on the delivery of the strategy
You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the strategic planning process, valuable project management skills and build strong stakeholder management relationships in a fast-paced environment where two days are never the same.

Please note that our Placement Programmes are for university students currently studying towards an undergraduate degree, who are seeking a 12-month sandwich placement before their final year of study.
You’ll need to be working towards a 2:1 degree, have 96 UCAS points from your top 3 A-Levels (or equivalent qualifications), possess a driving licence and have the right to work in the UK.
