The Business Management Team is an energised and engaged team with a diverse and flexible workload. It supports Engineering teams planning and delivering on time. We offer a flexible approach to working, for us the key to success is all about the delivery!

What you will be doing

As an intern, you will:

  • Support the robust planning of activities;
  • Support the governing of the offload;
  • Learn to understanding the practical, financial and resource implications of decisions;
  • Coordinating with other teams, partners and stakeholders;
  • Manage ad-hoc projects;
  • Data analysis and implementation of findings;
  • Coaching and steering people.

You will spend time working closely with teams in order to fully understand the challenges they face and the activities you lead and support will directly contribute to the success of the organisation.

You will have the opportunity to rapidly develop your knowledge in these areas through facilitating and participating in projects, business activities and training sessions. You will gain hands-on experience in supporting the existing business strategy on topics such as empowerment of teams, anticipation of issues, and agility in our ways of working.

Requirements

Our placements are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement. Please inform your graduation date on your application.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Studying towards a degree in Business, or equivalent;
  • Interest in project management and the less technical aspects of work in an engineering organisation;
  • Find creative solutions to complex problems;
  • Take the initiative and get things moving;
  • Constantly seek improvement in what you do;
  • Comfortable at communicating with diverse groups of people – from designers to analysts to senior managers.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Eligibility to gain UK SC Security Clearance OR You will be subject to a BPSS check (including a criminal record check).
