This is an exciting internal opportunity for someone who is passionate about the Environment, To support the activities of the environmental compliance function. Ensuring consistency and compliance against regulations across regulated activities. Enhancing environmental performance and reducing environmental impact from our business activities.

Principal accountabilities

  • Audit and reporting of legal compliance for environmental matters across operational and non-operational sites.
  • Recording and reporting environmental performance
  • Provide support to operational teams including attending pollution incidents (potentially working outside normal hours)
  • Support the delivery of the waste minimisation programme.
  • Support the review and update of environmental management procedures.
  • Provide internal training and promote awareness of environmental matters.
  • Manage an internal peer to peer audit process for operational and non-operational sites.
  • Support suppliers with environmental reporting and compliance requirements as part of the procurement processes.

Requirements

  • Passionate about environmental improvement
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in an environmental discipline
  • Knowledge of regulations relating to water and waste management
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety principles.
  • Full UK Driving
  • Good report writing skills and an ability to produce high quality and accurate work.
