The role provides a unique and exciting opportunity for those seeking a start in their legal career, joining us as we continue to grow, developing your legal skills with our exceptional training and continued guidance.

    The role

As a paralegal in our Minors team, within our Claimant Personal Injury department you will be representing our infant clients who have been injured because of a road traffic accident to bring a claim against the Defendant for damages using court proceedings as and when required. The successful candidate will deal with a caseload of claims in which the other driver is either admitting full liability, disputing liability in full or in part for the accident from the commencement of the claim, up to and including an infant approval hearing (court trial). This can be a difficult time for our clients and therefore you will be there from the start of their claim, reassuring and empathising with them and their Litigation Friend.

Aside from investigating the accident circumstances, you will also be responsible for the investigation of our client’s claim for Personal Injury. Your role will involve obtaining medical evidence in support of your client’s claim, instructing advocates to value the injuries sustained and you will gather all the required evidence in respect of their losses.

With your own caseload, you’ll advise your clients on the best course of action. In this fast-paced role, you’ll effectively manage and progress your own caseload using our in-house case management system (and in line with our service level agreements), keeping clients informed of progress every step of the way.
