There is no Addleshaw Goddard type. We are looking for authentic personalities who are aspiring, confident and committed to becoming great lawyers.

We want people who want to learn alongside the best in the profession, bringing their energy and passion to our team and our clients.

In order to apply for this opportunity, you need to:

  • be on track to graduate with or have graduated with a 2:1 (whether predicted or obtained). Please note that we consider applications from those who have received a 2:2 with mitigating circumstances.
  • be ready to join us for a pre-seat prior to starting the Professional Practice Course (PPC) in January 2027.
  • have passed all FE-1s prior to joining us for your pre-seat.

What can you expect?

This is an internship as unique as you are. As well as informative sessions, group exercises, assessed work and plenty of time at your desk, you will attend social events with a range of people across the office. It's a real chance to get to know our people and our culture. Successful candidates will then go on to be offered a training contract with the firm.

With our local presence in Ireland formed through a merger with Eugene F Collins that made Irish legal history, our full service team has been in the market for over 125 years.

Ability, motivation and attitude are what we look for in our training contract applicants; collaborative and innovative individuals that deliver more imagination and more impact in everything we do.

Our summer internship will run for 4 weeks and allow you to experience different groups and sectors AG Ireland operate in. If successful through the internship, you would be offered a training contract to commence in 2027.

International Applicants and Sponsorship

We welcome applications from candidates from all locations and do not make recruitment decisions based on applicants current location or right to work status. However, please note that the terms of this Training contract role do not meet the Department of Enterprise Trade and Employment requirements for an Employment Permit. Therefore, we are unfortunately unable to support Employment Permit applications in respect of these roles at the point of hire. Please do look into other right to work options such as Irish residency permissions incorporating an automatic work entitlement (Stamp 2, Stamp 1G, Stamp 4 etc.).
