Analytics Graduate Programme

Data is key to giving organisations competitive advantage. It is no longer enough to just ingest and store data; businesses also need to recognise the complexity of the data environment, with vast swathes of information being generated by every single click, transaction, message, action and object in our day-to-day lives. So, how can organisations harness the power of that data? The answer is advanced analytics.

On this programme, there is an opportunity to gain experience working across multiple disciplines within data & analytics, including Data Visualisation, Data Engineering, Data Science, Machine Learning Engineering, and Data & Artificial Intelligence Strategy.

Each involves working as part of a team to produce and deliver complex analytic solutions to deliver insights for our clients and their customers.

What you’ll learn

You’ll gain an understanding of how data from across our clients' businesses can be collated, analysed using sophisticated techniques, and presented in easily digestible forms to deliver high-impact data-driven business insights. You’ll also gain insight into how the implementation of a vast range of technologies, including cloud-based technology, can transform businesses and processes.

Whichever path you follow, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your technical and consulting skills while working across multiple industries. There will be constant opportunities to collaborate with, and learn from, industry and technical experts, while you’ll have access to the training and learning tools you’ll need to succeed, both in your job and in your longer-term career. You’ll also build credibility, relevance and meaningful relationships with colleagues and clients alike.

What’s in it for you

As well as the prospect of a great career centred around improving the way the world works and lives, you will get the opportunity to work with a vast array of highly-skilled people and continue to learn and grow your skills through our extensive training program.

At Accenture in addition to a competitive basic salary, you will also have an extensive benefits package which includes 30 days of vacation per year, access to app-based fitness classes and discounts on a range of gyms, private medical insurance and three days’ leave per year for charitable work of your choice.

What we’re looking for

We are looking for candidates with a flair for analytical and logical problem solving, who are comfortable interpreting and working with large and complex data sets. Hands-on experience with analytical tools and/or a coding language would be beneficial, but is not mandatory.

Since these are client-facing roles that entail interpreting and translating client requirements into workable solutions, you’ll also need excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate numerical concepts to non-numerical audiences. We look for outstanding performers, with an open and collaborative mindset, and above all a natural curiosity for business, analytics, and technology.

This programme is open to those with a degree (in any discipline that demonstrates logical or quantitative thinking – achieved or predicted).

Where you’ll work

You will need to live within commutable distance of your home office, which will be Edinburgh. Due to the nature of our work, you may be delivering projects on client sites anywhere in the UK and sometimes outside of the UK. You will need to be prepared to travel and sometimes live away from home for long periods of time.

How to apply

Full information on our application and selection process can be found on our website.

Places are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Deadline for applications is Friday 28th October 2022.
