Bright Network FESTIVAL is taking place on 15th September and is the number one graduate careers event in the UK, connecting individuals to top leading employers. After the success of our previous Student Leadership Boards, we are delighted to announce that we're once again looking to collaborate with a group of 10 bright and ambitious students passionate about upgrading their skillset and empowering other students. 

By joining the Student Leadership Board, you'll take an elevated role in the run-up to the event as well as on the day, to help maximise the benefits of the event for yourself and other members. 

It's a great opportunity to enhance your CV with valuable skills – leadership, communication, marketing, and networking. 

What's new for this Autumn, and why should you apply?  

  • Receive 1:1 mentoring with our marketing/event delivery team and play a leading role in growing the Bright Network FESTIVAL community. 

  • Receive a personal certificate of participation and LinkedIn endorsement for the Student Leadership Board 

  • Free CV review with personalised feedback 

  • Gain early access to the event as the first members to speak with the 90+ clients in attendance 

  • Guaranteed access to one session (panel, skills session, or Bright Network Academy) on the day of FESTIVAL of your choice! 

What will the role involve? 

As a Student Leadership Board member, you will be taking a more influential role before and at the event. Your core responsibilities will be: 

In advance 

  • Attending one virtual pre-event meeting with the Event Marketing and Event Delivery lead for Bright Network FESTIVAL 

  • Keeping attendees warm through our online community – Guild. Find out more about Guild here 

  • Support with spreading the word about Bright Network FESTIVAL at your university, societies and posting on social media 

  • Working together with the event marketing lead to refer students to sign up to the events 

  • Sending in a short, 100-word, third-person biography and photo that will be displayed on screen at the event and included in the digital programme that will be accessible to all attendees and employers 

  • Attending a training session the day before Bright Network FESTIVAL (You will need to be available on Thursday 14th September to join us at London’s QEII from 9am - 6pm) 

On the day 

  • Support final set-up for the event from 7am-11am 

  • Attend a briefing with the Bright Network team on the day of the event 

  • Help the team with live social media content on the day of the event 

For those confident enough to do so, there may also be an opportunity to host a filmed, quick-fire Q&A with representatives from our partner firms. 

 

Who are we looking for? 

We're looking for the Bright Network FESTIVAL Student Leadership Board to be made up of people who: 

  • Are motivated and enthusiastic about maximising the event's impact for employers and students 

  • Are confident to take on a leadership role during the event 

  • Having familiarity with social media promotion would be a bonus but not essential 

  • Have successfully applied and received an offer to attend the in-person event
