UK Parliament
The UK Parliament Graduate Development Programme allows you to play a part in the political events that will shape the future of our nation. As a graduate trainee, you’ll work with politicians from across the political spectrum on a day to day basis, helping to scrutinise Government policy and support the UK's democratic processes.
On the graduate programme, you'll be employed by either the House of Commons or the House of Lords, which means that you will work for Parliament, not for the Government of the day. You will be expected to offer impartial and assured advice to either MPs or Lords on a variety of issues, no matter how controversial the subject might be.
The Graduate Development Programme will appeal to those with an interest in politics, public policy, and the constitution, and the scheme will give you the experience and skills you need to develop into a future leader of the organisation.
As part of the Graduate Development Programme, you will receive extensive training from external and internal providers, based on your own development needs. Each year you’ll build on your experience and skills, deepening your understanding of Parliament, and helping it to become more efficient, effective and better understood by the public.
