LCP - Amelia

7 AM - Getting moving

First things first (after a few snoozes of the alarm) I get up and go for my morning run. This helps me wake up and get some fresh air before heading into the office.

8 AM - Getting to work

A leisurely, sometimes warm, journey on the central line into Bond Street gives me some time to flick through some study on the tube or read a book - who knew commuting could be so productive? I find reading helps my brain switch off before starting work and studying before work means I have my evenings free.

9 AM - Logging on

To start the day, I open up all of my most used apps and begin to sort through any emails and Teams messages. This usually lets me know what needs to be bumped up my to do list for that day.

10 AM - Cracking on

Now the real work starts - this could be catching up with client teams or starting to work through my to do list. This could include putting together some Performance Monitoring reports showing the client how their assets have performed over the quarter or looking at an asset transfer where we move clients' money between funds to align with the new strategy.

1 PM - Lunch time (if I can wait until then)

This is one of the best times of the day to get a little walk around Marylebone High Street, grab lunch with colleagues and reconvene in the Hub to eat lunch! It’s also a great time to catch up with people about things in and out of work, hear about holiday plans and everything else.

2 PM - Back to work!

Afternoons tend to include occasional training sessions for the department, every month we get a fund manager in to present about their fund which is a great opportunity to learn about lots of different asset classes - some that we are less familiar with. Otherwise, it's time to keep ticking off the tasks on the to do list.

5 PM - Wrap up and head off

Making sure my timesheet is completed for the day and I haven't missed any emails, I wrap up with work. Sometimes people head to the pub and others go off to climbing or badminton for a bit of post-work fun!
