By Nuveen

Tell us a little bit about yourself and your background?

I have been at Nuveen for just over a year, initially starting in the Office Sector team and recently rotating to the Real Estate Debt team. Prior to joining Nuveen, I studied Investment and Finance in Property at the University of Reading.

What inspired you to apply for this role / Nuveen?

I was drawn to the role at Nuveen because it seemed interesting and offered the opportunity to rotate through different parts of the business, helping me understand how different teams operate both independently and together. Since my degree was closely aligned with the nature of the role, I felt it would be fitting to apply for it.

What has been the single most important thing you learnt so far in your job?

It's really important to ask questions and not be afraid to ask for help when you don’t know something. Asking for clarification not only helps you understand things better, but it also shows that you're keen to learn!

Have you had the opportunity to get involved in any activities outside work?

Yes, I have attended a variety of events, including numerous networking and informational sessions, team strategy days, as well as breakfast mornings and lunches. These opportunities have allowed me to connect with others, gain valuable insights, and contribute to team development.

How important is diversity to you and what is Nuveen doing in this space at the moment?

I think it’s very important, and working at Nuveen, a global company, provides the opportunity to collaborate with people from around the world and experience different cultures, enriching both my professional and personal growth.
