I joined Hudson Sandler as a Team Assistant just over three years ago in February 2021, as a new graduate after leaving university with a degree in History. Joining remotely in the middle of a lockdown had its challenges, particularly being new to the industry and the corporate world more generally, but I immediately felt part of the team at Hudson Sandler and received a warm welcome from all colleagues. This is something that continued once I went to work in the office with people, and this culture is something I still enjoy about the company to this day.
My role as a Team Assistant consisted of a being a day to day support for a number of client teams and, once back in the office, also keeping on top of office admin and being responsible for organising various events and meetings.
Despite never having considered PR as a career, I quickly learned that I enjoyed the client facing aspect of the role and then transitioned to the Client Executive position in early 2022. From here, I was onboarded to my own set of clients and started to get to grips with various clients and day to day account processes, with a mixture of capital markets and corporate clients. I then became a Senior Client Executive in November 2022, and was promoted to Client Manger towards the end of 2023.
The PR world is always busy and there is always lots of work to be done, but I enjoy the fact that each day is different and you never feel like you are doing the job alone, there is always a team around you to support.
