Diversity & Inclusion at WFW

As an international firm with a global client base, diversity and inclusion is a key part of how we operate as a firm.

Respect for different backgrounds and perspectives is at the heart of our firm’s core values, which is why we are committed to attracting, recruiting and developing the best talent from a wide range of backgrounds and creating the type of inclusive environment in which all of our people can reach their full potential.

Embedding diversity and inclusion into our work culture not only enhances individual innovation and problem solving, it also makes good business sense. Encouraging our teams to harness diversity of thought provides our clients with innovative solutions to their most complex transactional and contentious matters.

For us, it’s about more than amending policies or procedures.  It’s about engaging everyone in the conversation and celebrating difference.

Our Diversity & Inclusion Forum, LGBT Group, Women’s Initiative and Ethnic & Racial Diversity Group help us achieve this through hosting a series of fun and educational events throughout the year, including our annual Diversity & Inclusion Week, Pride, Black History Month and International Women’s Day. Everyone, regardless of background, is encouraged to attend and learn from different experiences and perspectives.

In addition, our Mental Health Allies initiative is helping us to challenge the stigma surrounding mental health in the workplace and encourage all of our people to look after their own and others’ wellbeing.

Inclusive recruitment practices

We are committed to ensuring that our recruitment processes are as inclusive and barrier-free as possible. This includes making adjustments for candidates with a disability or long-term health condition.  If you require adjustments to be made at any stage of the recruitment process, we’d encourage you to get in touch with a member of our team who would be happy to discuss options with you.

We have also introduced the Rare Contextual Recruitment System into our trainee recruitment processes, which supports us to identify high-potential candidates from all backgrounds through understanding the context in which a candidate's academics have been achieved.
