Prior to securing my role I was particularly interested in Accenture because of its great reputation as a leading, global consulting firm and in particular their emphasis on technology and staying at the cutting edge of innovations.

What is the culture like at Accenture?

From my personal experiences Accenture has a great collaborative culture - championing diversity & inclusion to ensure everyone feels valued and arranging for lots of great events for opportunities to network and socialise.

How did you show you have a passion for Accenture at the interview?

Prior to the interview I made sure I looked into the many different arms at Accenture and therefore, with a relatively more informed mindset, I was able to pinpoint specific opportunities and projects that Accenture have done in the past which I found genuinely interesting – this resulted in organically coming across as passionate to the work.

What opportunities do Accenture offer?

Accenture offers a very wide range of project opportunities, as an analyst you are free to work across the many different functional and industry practices that Accenture are involved in, and this is a great way to find out what you are most interested in. Accenture also encourages you to pursue learning and development through multiple different trainings programs and certifications that you can take.

What has been your working ‘highlight’ thus far?

I am currently working on a huge scale project for a client in the energy industry. It has been very fascinating for me to see how projects of a global scale mobilise and facilitate collaboration with staff from all around the world. It’s also been very interesting learning about the consulting process for a massive company and how the different workstreams can tie in with each other.

What top three tips would you give Bright Network members looking to follow in your footsteps

  1. Ensure you prepare as much as possible before each stage of the application – whether that’s through looking through the website or even reaching out to current employees and asking questions.
  2. For competency questions, I would make sure you have a few key events or experiences memorised that you can draw upon.
  3. I would say once you’re in a role you should always be open-minded and curious to learn wherever you can.
